"Approximately 2,000 people are without shelter in Memphis, TN. While realizing that hosting our guests one night per week does not solve the problem of homelessness; it does allow our church to serve our community by providing our guests with: 1) a warm, safe and caring environment to spend the night, 2) a place to clean up, 3) a change of clothing, 4) interaction and fellowship with members who care and 5) two nutritious meals and a snack. We feel our volunteers as well as our guests benefit from this experience. It helps our church to better understand the issues of people experiencing homelessness and allows us to become more aware and apart of the solution. "
